NHS AfC: Band 6
Job overview
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Clinical Technologist, Radiographer or Nurse to join our small, but friendly team providing a Clinical Physics service for Bradford and the surrounding districts. The department is open Monday to Friday and there may be flexibility as to how the working hours of this post will sit within this period. It is expected that the successful candidate will work their hours over 1-2 days.
The key investigations conducted by the Clinical Physics service are urodynamics, oesophageal manometry/pH studies and anorectal manometry/ultrasound. These tests involve taking pressure measurements within the urinary and GI tracts.
The role involves working closely with the urology and radiology teams as well as attending MDTs.
Main duties of the job
The key responsibilities of this post include working closely with patients to undertake urodynamics and manometry investigations using specialist medical equipment. After completing the study, the results are analysed, and a clinical report written to explain the findings of the test to the referring clinician. Most of the work is carried out autonomously, but support is available from the section head, and clinicians.
