This is an exciting time to join our team as we consolidate our working in a new Care Group structure, which offers the opportunity to support the development and continuous quality improvement of the new Clinical Business Unit. Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust has a reputation for delivering high quality healthcare and offers a wide range of theatre specialties including Head and Neck surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Plastics, Vascular, Breast, Urology, Gynaecology and General Surgery.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for theatre practitioners with scrub, anaesthetic and recovery skills.
You will need to be a registered nurse or ODP with a minimum of 3 years theatre experience at band 5.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate that they are motivated, able to work on their own initiative, are a team player with the ability to prioritise workload and support the team leader, theatre Coordinator and team to provide a safe and effective service for our patients.
Following our most recent CQC inspection the division of surgery was rated as Good across the 5 key standards so you would be joining a high performing team and would be expected to support the Team Leader to influence and drive improvement within Trauma and Orthopaedics.

- Can demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice in relation to theatre setting
- Minimum of 3 years Theatre experience at band 5
- Demonstrate resource management ability

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- RN ,registered ODP
- ENB 6590, 998, C&G 730, mentor prep or equivalent modules
- Health related diploma/degree or evidence to further academic study.
Desirable criteria
- ENB 176/182
- Management Certificate or equivalent experience
- Leadership training
