Job overview

As Programme Manager you will work as part of a Strategy, Development and Delivery team with responsibility for transformation and service development in our priority and enabler programmes, initially focusing on supporting the work of Healthy Children & Families priority area.

 

Main duties of the job

You will develop and lead on programmes and projects across their portfolio of work across the partnership, ensuring successful implementation of national and local policies, including but not limited to elective recovery / mental health long term plan transformation and transforming lives / send code of practice / urgent emergency care recovery plan, intermediate care and the better care fund.

Working for our organisation

The Act as One transformation programmes were established in July 2020 and part of the Bradford and Craven Health and Care Partnership strategy. They encourage collaboration and partnerships between all sectors involved in the delivery and commissioning of health and care services in Bradford District and Craven. All programmes have a broad “end to end” scope, meaning that they cover the whole pathway of care from prevention of illness through to specialist hospital care.

This post will be hosted by Airedale and work within Bradford district & Craven Place of the WY ICB (BDC HCP). The post holder will be expected to be system leaders who work within and manage complex relationships, innovate, and work beyond boundaries.  We serve the people of Bradford district and Craven.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in an area relevant to the role
  • Experience of making recommendations to decision makers
  • Experience of being involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes
  • Experience of significant service redesign across organisational boundaries.
  • Line management experience

Knowledge and Understanding

Essential criteria
  • A high level of knowledge and experience of health and/or care environment(s)
  • Evidence of planning and delivering programmes and projects and commissioning services within agreed time frames
  • Evidence of leading/contributing to the development of service specifications and policies.
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge and understanding of the children’s agenda across Bradford and Craven

Skills and Competencies

Essential criteria
  • Excellent Programme Management skills
  • Developed communication and presentation skills, with the ability to use informed persuasion to influence others
  • Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues and create solutions to resolve problems in relation to programme, project or service delivery
  • Computer literate with an ability to use the required systems/Microsoft IT office packages.
  • Has excellent communication skills.
  • Able to effectively manage conflict and achieve consensus
