Permanaent posts to fill a vacancy. Full time and part time available within the Emergency Department. Supporting the nursing staff to help provide essential supplies for patients
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for the position of house keeper in a busy Emergency Deaprtment.
Candidates must be able to work on their own intiative and also work as part of the Nursing team. Must be able to wokr across a 24/7 rota. You need to be Punctual, reliable and hard working and as you will be working alongside patients a friendly, pleasant personality is a must. Excellent communication skills are also essential.
Full training will be given.

Maintaining stock within the Emergency Department and providing food and drinks for patients. Supporting the nursing staff with providing essential equipment for caring for patients

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
Essential criteria
- Good standard of education in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Level 2 Food safety Training (expectation to work towards qualification within 3 months)
- NVQ 1 OR 2 in subject relevant to post, such as customer care, support services or infection prevention and control
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in catering/caring environment
- Previous NHS Experience
- Awareness of Health & Safety issues
- Awareness of Moving & Handling issues
COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIPS (INCLUDING MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES)
Essential criteria
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of the team
- Ability to work flexibly, quickly and accurately
- Good communication both written and verbal
