The Trust is currently one of the most digitised in the country. Along with using Medisoft (upgrade to MediSight October 2023) and an electronic referral portal from community Optometry, this makes us currently one of the most paper-light and digitised Ophthalmology Departments in the country.

The department is undertaking a number of transformational projects internally and working in partnership with WYAAT on a number of sub-specialty projects to standardise pathways of care. We also continue our collaborative working with local Optometrists and the CCG to deliver new and patient centred community schemes to meet the demands of our local population.
