FutureNHS are looking for a passionate User Researcher to join our brilliant team.

As a user researcher you will be responsible for:
• Working on a high-profile collaboration platform that has a direct impact on the whole of the NHS and wider health and care sector.
• Work with colleagues in the team to ensure that user needs are at the forefront of the design process.
• Leading and employing a range of research approaches and methodologies, including qualitative, quantitative, collaborative, online and usability research, with external and internal users.
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to conduct user research to understand the user needs of healthcare sector employees.
• Providing user insights that will inform the design decisions made throughout the Agile process from pre-discovery to go live, aligning these back to strategic objectives of the platform.
• Acting as a champion for users, advocate for their needs to ensure that the work of NHS England is generated by and grounded in user needs.

- Educated to master’s level (or equivalent qualification / experience).
Skills & Experience
Essential criteria
- Proven experience of quantitative and qualitative research activities such as: survey design, interview design, moderation, usability testing, facilitating workshops, contextual enquiry, co-design, and ethnographic research.
- Experience of managing external digital platform suppliers to ensure successful delivery of products and services.
- Experience of conducting usability testing sessions: designing tasks and scenarios, using a range of tools to collect data and providing recommendations supported by evidence such as video, graphs, tables and pictures.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of appropriate research methods across the user-centred design lifecycle and how to implement them.
