Main duties of the job

The Data Collection and Improvement (DCI) team deliver a support service to care providers with the aim to help them collect and improve the data they submit to NHS England.

The team has 4 sections:

  • Data Collection - Managing a large number of collections from several hundred providers and delivering submissions support across a range of data collection systems
  • Data Coverage – Monitoring and supporting increased coverage across mandatory data collections
  • Data Improvement – Developing trusted relationships with providers to support improvements in the data submitted
  • Management Information - Sourcing, extracting and analysing data about collections to help DCI and other services evidence and maximise their impact. 

As a Data Operations Senior Administrator, you will play a key role within an allocated section. Duties specific to this role include:

  • Responding to technical and administrative queries from providers and problem solving to find resolutions
  • Supporting providers to submit and improve data to NHS England across a range of data collections and systems
  • Supporting the delivery of provider-focussed services and processes for allocated collections, systems or data improvement projects
  • Assisting with the facilitation of national and/or regional engagement with providers, such as central communications and user groups
  • Collating and sharing feedback from providers to improve the data collected and our collection processes.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
