Job overview
The post holder will oversee the delivery of the Old Age training Programme for the West (Liverpool) part of the Scheme. They will work closely with the East (NW) scheme TPD.
The post holder will support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the North West School of Psychiatry and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.
The post holder will be a member of the School Board and Old Age Psychiatry Speciality Training committee.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry on the Specialist Register
- Member / Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Consultant currently working in NHS Trust in North West England
Desirable criteria
- Education Qualification such as Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or Masters in Medical Education
Experience
Essential criteria
- Considerable experience of working with doctors in an educational context
- Experience as an educational supervisor especially for Psychiatric trainees
- Understanding the Workforce Transformation agenda
- Experience in Recruitment
- Awareness of funding streams for Healthcare Education
Desirable criteria
- Clinical Manager experience
- Previous or current appointment as a Leader in Healthcare Education would be desirable
Skills
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable Leadership skills and an ability to motivate others
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral presentation skills
