In addition, although the role advertised may have a ‘home’ office base indicated, we remain committed to supporting flexibility around workplace locations. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.

Job overview

We are in the process of establishing long-term capability to deliver the New Hospital Programme - the 3rd largest programme on the Government’s Major Projects Portfolio enabling the delivery of NHS’s Health Infrastructure Plan.

We are recruiting five Contract Management Senior Managers.

They will deliver the provision of a robust, efficient and effective contract management service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHSE requirements ensuring alignment with the key priority activities of the programme.

Main duties of the job

The Contract Management Senior Manager role will involve working closely with business stakeholders to create and execute short and long-term strategies, for the relevant works programmes, which will best position NHP to maximise value, minimise risk and deliver the agreed benefits of the programme through cost saving or improved operations.

The role will focus on supporting the delivery of continuous improvement through measurable efficiencies (cost and operational delivery) and providing valuable market insights.

The role will adapt over time in response to the changing needs of the programme and may involve line management, coaching and development of  direct reports, to deliver robust contract management which ensures delivery at the optimum cost, maximising value.

  • Working collaboratively to ensure our healthcare workforce has the right knowledge, skills, values and behaviours to deliver accessible, compassionate care
