JOIN THE TEAM AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE
You will be joining an award winning shared payroll service and work towards providing all NHS services within Bradford with their payroll and pensions service. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and individual with an eye for detail to bring innovation and a ‘can do’ attitude to incredibly experienced team.
Working alongside these experienced professionals, you will be expected to communicate excellent customer service to both weekly and monthly paid colleagues in via phone communication and email/written forms.
If you have experience working in a busy, fast paced admin environment, can tailor your communication to a range of people and have the ability to learn new things quickly and efficiently then this position may be for you.
We are looking for an applicant who could work between 30 and 37.5 hours per week.
This post is office based at our headquarters in New Mill, Saltaire.

Main duties of the job
You will be an active member of the team, responsible for providing assistance and pensions advice to wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
You are able to prioritise your workload to ensure deadlines are met.
Ideally you will hold the Foundation Degree in Pensions or an equivalent qualification and have previous experience of working in a pensions department. Whilst not essential, it would be ideal if you have knowledge of NHS payroll and pensions procedures and practices, NEST Pension administration and a working knowledge of ESR.
BDCT Pension team is the perfect place to develop both professionally and personally. Both internal and external development and learning opportunities are available with career progression supported. The ideal candidate may also be given the opportunity to pursue qualifications as part of internal development.
Located in the beautiful and historic Saltaire, directly opposite Roberts park.

Essential criteria
- GCSE Qualifications including Maths and English
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level 4 in Pensions Administration , CIPP or equivalent experience.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Recent substantial comprehensive experience of working in a Pensions / Payroll team.
Desirable criteria
- Recent experience of NHS Pension Scheme Administration
- Previous experience of the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) payroll system
- Previous experience of NEST Pension administration
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Use of computerised Pensions / Payroll system
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
Desirable criteria
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the NHS Pension Scheme
- Knowledge of the NEST Pension Scheme
