CPD Funding Co-Ordinator

Job overview
The CPD programme Co-ordinator will work as part of the Education Department providing effective, professional and quality administration support, enabling the department to fulfil its function to a high-quality standard.
Your main role will be to assist in the co-ordination and allocation of all the available avenues of CPD funding and supporting the wider Education Administration team.
You will work closely with other clinical departments, Ward Sisters and Matrons in understanding training needs, whilst promoting the CPD offer across the Trust. The post holder will ensure Line Managers and those undertaking CPD are properly informed and supported throughout the application process.
Support will also be provided to the Education Business Manager and the Head of Education and Apprenticeships. The post holder will manage his/her own workload working however advice will be given as required.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for:
· Organise and coordinate the CPD Funding and Non-CPD Funding programmes, while ensuring the efficiency and accessibility of information;
· Develop and maintain programme documentation and undertake the necessary housekeeping procedures;
· Maintain databases/trackers, accordingly, ensuring data quality standards are adhered to;
· Complete monthly and quarterly returns as appropriate and directed;
· To guarantee high levels of security and confidentiality of sensitive information relating to staff and sharing this only with appropriate senior staff.
· Regular point of contact for all staff and their departmental managers for all CPD related enquiries via telephone and the CPD Mailbox;
· Working closely with staff and Line Managers to ensure they are properly informed and supported throughout the application process,
· Produce clear and concise information in the form of newsletters, posters, leaflets, user guides and emails or other material as required;
· To lead on the collection and analysis of data from CPD Funding programme, including Non-CPD Funding;
· To use own initiative to assess the urgency of any communication and help when necessary to ensure messages are dealt with promptly and efficiently

Essential criteria
- Experienced administrator with at least 2 years relevant practical experience
- Knowledge of complex administrative procedures ideally associated with education; gained by practical experience or qualification
- Able to influence, engage and motivate staff at all levels
- Able to work with minimal supervision, using own judgement to take instant decisions and to be accountable for own actions.
- Ability to think clearly under pressure, analyse complex situations, reach decisions, prioritise and recommend appropriate action through the assessment of relevant information
Desirable criteria
- Experience and understanding of dealing with complex, confidential, financial and sensitive information
- Ability to think creatively and contribute to service improvement initiatives
