Job overview

We're looking for experienced administrators to join our Haematology department at Salisbury District Hospital.  We would consider applications from applicants looking for a progressive role - starting as a band 2 Support Secretary, with training provided with an aim to progress to a Band 3 Medical Secretary within 12 months. Flexibility can be offered with working hours. 

The successful candidates will provide a comprehensive range of administrative and secretarial support to the Consultants and their clinical teams, and be able to  liaise with other departments and services,  responding effectively to enquiries from the general public, service users and other colleagues within the healthcare setting.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicants will be required to be organised, an enthusiastic team player and an experienced typist and administrator.  You must have GCSE English and Maths grade A to C or equivalent and be well versed in the use of Microsoft Office packages. A flexible approach to work is required and well as excellent communication skills.
