You’ll start your career with us by following a 5 day full-time and in-depth induction training programme, within the hospital, so you can hit the ground running and ensure our patients get the care they need and deserve.

If successful at interview you will join at the top of Band 2. We offer fantastic progression opportunities to Band 3 once you have completed training and meeting key competencies.

Our fantastic colleagues can teach you the required skills if you share our Trust values, are ready to learn and:

  • You can demonstrate that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are happy to carry out a variety of tasks (detailed below) - including personal hygiene care
  • You can work a variety of shifts - these include mornings (shifts could start from 7am), short days & long days (shifts are generally 10 - 12 hours long), evenings (till around 8pm) and nights (from around 7pm)

We consider both Part-Time and Full-Time applications, but you MUST be flexible and able to cover a variety of shifts as we operate 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

You will receive your allocated area within the hospital at a later stage of the recruitment process. Please note, if you are looking to work in paediatrics, maternity, A&E or theatres then please apply to the relevant advert.
