Job overview

An opportunity to join a committed and dynamic team within the Surgery Division at Salisbury NHS  Foundation Trust. As a Divisional Manager you will work alongside Clinical and Nursing leads in developing and managing services to deliver quality care for our patients.

We are seeking a dynamic individual who has the ability to successfully engage with a broad range of teams, disciplines and staff across the Division.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing leadership, operational management, strategic business planning and project management to help ensure that the Division delivers and achieves its performance, quality and efficiency objectives, whilst delivering high standards of care to our patients.

You will have experience at service management level, experience of successfully delivering projects and will have led your teams to deliver high quality, cost effective patient care.

Main duties of the job

  • To ensure that the Division's services are delivered to plan within available resources, and to assured quality standards.
  • To be responsible for coordinating and promoting the integration of operational management, service planning and service delivery processes of the Division, to achieve agreed services levels.
  • To work with the Divisional Management Team to use available resources effectively, efficiently and within agreed budgets.
  • To lead on, and be responsible for the development of strategies and business plans for the Division by ensuring that there are robust systems for performance management and quality governance in place.
  • To provide leadership which enables the delivery of high quality, safe and person centred care through the engagement and empowerment of others.
