This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our dedicated Critical Care workforce at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, as a Band 2 Health Care support Worker.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for proactive, enthusiastic and caring individuals, who will enjoy working in these demanding and rapidly changing environments, supporting all levels of nursing, medical and allied health staff. We provide care for both elective surgical patients and emergencies admissions from all specialities.

In return for your dedication and hard work, we offer well-established, structured teaching and development programmes for all staff. If you have a caring and compassionate approach to your work and patients, and want to join a motivated, friendly and supportive team, we are keen to hear from you.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Basic numeracy, verbal and literacy skills
  • Level 2 NVQ/QCF in health and social care or equivalent experience within a health or care environment
Desirable criteria
  • Completion of all Wales Induction Framework

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience required to fulfil the requirements of the post.
  • Experience of dealing with the public within a health or care environment
Desirable criteria
  • Previous clinical experience

Aptitude and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging circumstances
  • Able to clearly document written information
  • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality

  • Ability to speak welsh
