Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed
Job overview
Applications are invited for a Health Care assistant band 2 with a specialist interest in tuberculosis. The support worker will form part of a specialised multidisciplinary team providing expert assessment and treatment of patients within BCULHB East.
The post holder will provide support to speciality clinics, in the assessment and management of patients, liaising with the wider respiratory team and community services in the treatment and care of patients with tuberculosis. They will also provide telephone support for patients and families with regard to appointments, home visits where appropriate and support at Out-patient venues.
The post hold will be required to have the ability to use computer systems for data entry, checking of patient’s records, emailing and appointment services.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be flexible and dynamic in your approach in delivering care to patients. The post holder needs to have good communication skills and be an effective team player. The post hold will be required to have the ability to use computer systems for data entry, checking of patient’s records, emailing and appointment services.
This post is permanent part time.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
