Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the  living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until  the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed

 

Job overview

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to provide  medical secretarial support to our CMATS Team and Extended Scope Physiotherapists.

The main duties of role will involve typing/formatting clinic letters and reports from dictated materials, promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The main duties of the role will include typing / formatting clinic letters and reports of materials that are copyrighted, promptly and effectively ensuring accuracy.

By the nature of the duties, the post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients/carers/relatives, BCU staff and external organisations with courtesy and discretion. There will be a requirement to work using one’s own initiative, efficiently and well organised.

It is essential that candidates have advanced keyboard skills and audio typing/word processing qualifications, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.  Candidates should also have a good standard of education, excellent communication skills and a knowledge of medical terminology

The post holder will also be required to be part of the wider admin team and assist with the general administrative support to the service as required.
