Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for the Post of Senior Decontamination Technician at the Main Outpatient Dept here at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
The successful candidate will responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient decontamination of flexible endoscopes. We are looking for an Endoscopy Decontamination Technician to carry out the collection, receipt, disassembly, cleaning, disinfection, reassembly, packing and delivering of reusable medical Endoscopes within the Unit and other Services. Decontamination experience is essential for this post.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
To maintain and protect confidential information relating to patients.
To establish and maintain good working relationships with members of
the multi-disciplinary team.
Maintain a clean environment throughout the Unit.
Ensure that all endoscopy equipment being used is decontaminated in
accordance with national, local and manufacturer’s guidelines and
report any faults immediately.
Ensure Health and Safety measures are implemented at all times.
