Senior Staff Nurse - Windsor Dialysis
We are looking for a forward-thinking, dynamic, and enthusiastic individual with at least 2 years of Band 5 experience in Renal dialysis, along with evidence of leadership and management skills. The ideal candidate should have completed the Renal course and be working towards their Band 5 leadership competencies. We will support you through the Senior Staff Nurse Development pathway. Opportunities for further academic education are always supported within the renal department.
Main duties of the job
We are offering an opportunity for a motivated individual with the drive and enthusiasm to develop as a Senior Staff Nurse in the Windsor Dialysis Unit. You will be fully supported in your development.
You must have a proven track record of progressive leadership and development. Be an effective role model, self-motivated, passionate about your job, driven, and adaptable to cope with continuously changing services.
You should possess excellent communication skills, be visible and accessible, with quality and standards as your priority. You will need to be flexible and learn to be resilient in order to cope with the demands of the role. Additionally, you must be adaptable to change and able to influence your team members to enable you to implement and evaluate changes in the working environment.

Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse (Pt 1/12)
- ENB 998/Slice, C&G 730, Mentorship Preparation for Healthcare Professionals or equivalent
- Evidence of Leadership/Management and Speciality Development
Desirable criteria
- Renal course
- History taking course
- Working towards a post-graduate qualification in relevant subject
- Counselling course
- Knowledge of research and audit
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience of which includes work in post-qualification speciality
- Experience of leadership/ management and speciality development.
- Experience in mentoring, facilitation, teaching, assessing, coaching
Desirable criteria
- Experience of involvement in successful Change Management
- Experience of conditions of the kidney.
- Experience of participating in research and/or clinical trials.
- Experience of participating and delivering health promotional and/or teaching activities.
- Knowledge and understanding of blood test results
- Experience of running an outpatient clinic and dictation
Other
Essential criteria
- Good IT Skills
- Car driving licence and access to a car
Desirable criteria
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
