Job overview
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and adaptable Band 5 staff member to join our vibrant and dynamic team in the Outpatient Department (OPD), serving private patients. Our OPD covers an impressive range of specialties, including ENT, urology, neurosurgery, plastics, oncology, dermatology, and more.
You’ll be part of an expert multidisciplinary team providing excellent clinical care to patients with complex surgical procedures, oncological cases, you’ll also provide acute medical interventions to patients with a wide range of conditions.

Main duties of the job
- Providing high quality, effective, individualised nursing care to patients across all three sites by assessing their needs and developing, implementing and evaluating care plans without supervision.
- Maintaining accurate clinical observations of patients, utilising nursing skills and competencies.
- Assisting in the teaching and development of nursing assistants and students, helping them to achieve their learning outcomes.

- NMC Registered Nurse

- 24 months experience in healthcare
- Pre-Admission course completed

- Experience in a busy OPD setting

- Experience with variety of specialities in OPD ( Neurosurgery, Urology, ENT, Oncology, Plastics, Dermatology, etc
Skills/knowledge/ abilities
Essential criteria
- Excellent phlebotomy skills
- Good clinical skills and a commitment developing them further
- An awareness of current developments in nursing and a knowledge of the NMC Code
- Good IT skills
Desirable criteria
- Experience handling a high-volume workload efficiently.
- Previous working experience with private facilities
