Job overview

The Children's Therapy service is currently based in The Long Cross Centre and  provides Community Paediatric services, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Physiotherapy services across BNSSG, supporting children aged 0-18 and their families.

We provide an individual service to each child and their family and as well as treating their medical needs, we work closely with colleagues in other parts of the health service as well as those in social and education services to ensure that children’s needs are met.

We are currently looking for a Receptionist to work 22.5 hours per week on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30 – 16:30 at the Long Cross Centre. 

Main duties of the job

You will be the first point of contact for Service Users, Parents, Carers and Professionals within your role as receptionist and administration to the Long Cross Centre and Allied Health Professionals.

The service provides care for children and young people aged 0 – 18 and consists of Community Paediatrics, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Health Visitors and School Health Nursing.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of using a variety of IT systems including Microsoft Office
  • Experience of using a wide range of office equipment (i.e computers, faxes, photocopiers, switchboard)
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment, preferably in a customer facing or receptionist role

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Relevant knowledge and experience or NVQ Level 2 in business administration

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of diary management/ room booking systems
