We are looking for an Administrator to join our Children’s Therapy Service!

Our Therapy service is vital to supporting children in our community.  Your will make a difference by supporting the secretarial and administration processes, you be a key contact point and liaise with patients, teaching staff, social services and other groups.  

To excel in this role, you should be a great communicator, be able to work to deadlines and have amazing organisation skills. 

Our core hours for this service are between 8.00 am – 17.00 pm. This position is predominately located in Patchway Hub or Southmead House however there may be a requirement to travel across our Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) area with prior agreement. We will consider applications from those wishing to work part time or as part of a job share

Main duties of the job

•    You will provide a comprehensive secretarial/administration service to support the children’s therapy service in the day to day running of the service.
•    You will act as a contact point and liaise with patients, teaching staff, education, social services and other staffing groups within the Trust such as Human Resources, Finance over the telephone and face to face.

  • You will effectively deal with centralised emails on behalf of the service
  • You will undertake any necessary photocopying, filing and any other administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the office.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in the NHS or similar organisation
  • Good communication/written skills
  • Knowledge of a range of secretarial procedures and use of standard software programmes
Desirable criteria
  • Able to use EMIS system for Child Health (formal training will be given)
  • Experience of working under pressure
  • Ability to travel across BNSSG when required
