We have a wonderful opportunity for you to join our friendly supportive Critical Care team as a Housekeeper, working alongside all members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate a clean, safe and adequately stocked Critical Care Unit (CCU) environment.

To help achieve this you will work in a collaborative manner, with a multidisciplinary approach encouraging good communication which ensures that all patients are cared for in a safe caring and compassionate environment.
Main duties of the job
1. Ensure store areas are tidy and equipment stored correctly, liaise with the senior nurse to remove redundant equipment.
2. Oversee unpacking of supplies, monitor the delivery of goods and discuss with senior nurse adjustments to stock levels.
3. At the senior request, assist in the ordering and disposable of equipment.
4. Report any faulty or broken equipment to the nurse in charge and arrange for its repair.
5. Highlight any areas which require terminal clean by placing the appropriate signs on the area required so all domestic staff are aware and then inform the Nurse in Charge.
6. Provide food and beverages for patients following discussion with the Nurse in Charge.
7. Participate in audits and other initiatives as requested by management.
8. When able, welcome and settle relatives in waiting rooms and provide orientation/refreshments if appropriate
8. Make sure all restocking has been carried out within your job role.
10. Liaise with night staff of any discrepancies with regards to cleaning matters.
11. Making sure the fridge and microwave are cleaned on a daily basis within CCU and/or Kitty Hubbard HDU
12. Assist the domestics if they are unavailable with the cleaning of critical care unit
13. Assist the team with diet/drink provision
14. Ensure compliance with all trust policies / procedures and ensure confidentiality at all times.
15. Any other appropriate duty, which is consistent with the band and its expected responsibilities
