NHS AFC: Band 3
Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Stroke therapy services in Bolton. We currently have a number of positions across our stroke services and would consider applications for both full and part time posts.
The stroke service comprises both in-patient and community settings. The In-patient team are based on the Stroke Unit at Royal Bolton Hospital and work as a closely integrated MDT with the nursing and wider MDT. The community aspect sits within the Community Stroke Team which is based at Breightmet Health Centre. The team sees both new and existing stroke patients providing specialist assessment, treatment and advice.
As a member of the wider MDT you will work alongside and support specialist therapy staff in providing specialist treatment, intervention and advice guided by a qualified therapist. The post offers the opportunity to develop skills within Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy and Speech and Language Therapy within a supportive environment alongside other existing therapy assistants.
The post holder will benefit from working within a supportive team, with a robust supervision and appraisal programme, excellent in-house training and CPD. Supervision and support will be provided by senior therapy staff.

To assist therapist(s) in their role by:
Providing a routine therapy under the direction of a named therapist to ensure the delivery of high quality services
Assist with delivery of exercise and activity groups
