Job overview
We are delighted, due to relocation and expansion of the Endoscopy Decontamination unit on the Wrexham Maelor Site, to move to a 7-day service and increase our staffing to reflect this.
We are seeking dedicated and detail-orientated Technicians to join our Endoscopy team. In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and complaint decontamination of Endoscopy equipment, supporting the delivery of high quality patient care. If you are passionate about infection prevention and medical equipment safety this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team.
Previous experience in a decontamination, or healthcare related role is desirable, but not essential.
Main duties of the job
To work within the decontamination unit and occasional rotation on to the Endoscopy unit.
To perform all the functions of a band 3 endoscopy technician whilst offering support, training and problem solving skills to the day to day running of the decontamination unit.
To assist, under supervision, in the delivery of nursing care in liaison with the multi - disciplinary team.
To maintain own personal development with support from department Lead nurse for Decontamination and Endoscopy Senior Sister.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
