Job overview

Our Fylde and Wyre Adult Community Learning Disability Team are looking for a Learning Disability Nurse. If you are a student learning disability nurse due to qualify soon or are already a band 5 learning disability nurse and would like to join a community team, then we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The team is hoping to recruit a learning disability nurse who is adaptable, highly motivated, with excellent communication skills and who is as passionate about working with adults with learning disabilities.   The Learning Disability Service strives to provide forward thinking high quality services, working in partnership with people with learning disabilities, their families and carers and other agencies.  You will work within a multidisciplinary team providing clinical support around physical health, mental health, and positive behaviour support.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
