We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager to join our organisation!

In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery a high quality, customer focused and professional HR service that seeks to drive forward continuous improvement with performance against all workforce key performance indicators.

You will report to the Head of HR Services and Employee Relations and will line manage a small HR team, providing a comprehensive HR service, ensuring that all HR activities are in line with best practice and policy are provided in a timely and robust way.

This role will also ensure that a Restorative Just Culture is effectively implement as part of inclusive conflict resolution approaches.

To that end we are seeking an experienced and credible HR practitioner who is forward thinking, solution-oriented and resilient with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

You will be a confident, decisive thinker with a passion for getting things done in a timely manner, making a difference and setting and delivering high standards of service. You will have extensive experience of managing complex investigations in a swift, fair and objective way.

Main duties of the job

  • Support an effective advisory service across the range of employee relations matters ensuring the provision of consistent professional, expert and technical guidance and support in line with policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate and lead on complex employee relations cases, advising managers on best ER practice ensuring that advice given complies with good employment practice,  employment legislation and Sirona policy.
  • Support on medical Employee Relations issues, ensuring that cases are managed in accordance with Maintaining High Professional Standards (MHPS) and Sirona Policy.
  • To support the Head of HR to put in place systems for the effective management of Employment Tribunal claims and requests for employee relations related information, including Freedom of Information requests.
  • Support and advise team members with the investigation of complex disciplinary, grievance, sickness and performance cases – including the provision of casework supervision designed to encourage reflective practice and develop confidence in decision-making.
  • Support with contract termination cases examples include probationary, right to work, redundancy and ensure statutory dismissal procedures are in place.

  • Significant demonstrable experience of advising a range of stakeholders on a broad range of ER issues and developing practical value-adding solutions.
  • Experience of managing multiple complex ER cases Experience of supporting/implementing workforce consultation programmes TUPE, organisational change.
  • Experience of just & learning practices around workforce and ER casework
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and influence for effective ER solutions
  • A track record of success as a manager leading a similar team in a complex, political, and regulatory organisation.
  • Excellent demonstrable knowledge of current employment legislation and best practice in ER policies, principles and procedures
